Law in the Public Health Area - Scholarship Programs for Lato-Sensu Specialization Courses
The Scholarship Program for "Lato - Sensu" Specialization Courses is a Scholarship Program of the Government of the State of São Paulo, established on September 11, 1979, by State Decree No. 13,919 for higher education professionals to work in the Health area.
This program was conceived as an instrument of the São Paulo State Government, through the State Department of Health, to encourage postgraduate training for human resources responsible for directly meeting the health needs of the São Paulo population, and is responsible for administering and monitoring scholarships. There are approximately four hundred different professional development programs in the State of São Paulo.
The Scholarship Program for "Lato - Sensu" Specialization Courses is intended to complement the training of recent graduates in the health area, except doctors, through in-service training and the objectives are:
They last 1 (one) or 2 (two) years, with a 40-hour workweek, with a minimum total workload of 1,760 hours, distributed between theoretical and practical activities directed at each profession/area of concentration for which it is intended and must be taken on an exclusive dedication basis.
