The course qualifies nurses and nursing technicians to support the anesthesiologist during the anesthetic procedure. It is a face-to-face training, conducted by the faculty of the Anesthesiology Discipline and by multidisciplinary teams from the Hospital das Clínicas of the USP School of Medicine.
Throughout the journey, you improve your knowledge in theory and also learn in practice, within the most prestigious School of Medicine in the country.
The course aims to provide knowledge about the types of anesthesia with a focus on their support for the anesthesiologist's performance, the main difficulties encountered in nursing care for cases of easy and difficult airways, the new guidelines for cardiopulmonary resuscitation and the role of nursing during resuscitation, special situations in anesthesia that require the support of nursing teams, the main care with vascular accesses used intraoperatively, the safety processes involved in the handling of controlled drugs and the use of blood components and the risk of adverse events in the surgical setting and related to anesthetic procedures.
