The "You at FMUSP" immersion program offers a week of activities with guided visits to the main points of the institution and practical activities in the Skills Laboratory, Anatomy, Molecular Biology, Library and Hospital das Clínicas. In addition, it includes theoretical and practical classes, discussion activities with specialists about the many possibilities of the medical profession and the advances in Medicine. At the end of each day, participants have the opportunity to participate in a small group session, under the guidance of a professor and two students from the Medicine course, called "Put It All
Together ", to share ideas and clarify doubts, consolidating and synthesizing the learning.
The program is based on the 21st Century Medical Professional Competency Matrix (CanMEDS, 2015), which is widely used globally to guide the training of health professionals. During the immersion week, knowledge, skills and attitudes related to the following competency domains will be developed: professionalism, communication, collaboration, management, study and updating, advocacy and health care. The goal is to provide a meaningful experience that is close to the experience of a medical student.
