Chronic pain without adequate treatment has become a problem of worldwide relevance and also in Brazil. According to recent data from the Brazilian Society for Pain Studies (SBED), about 37% of the population suffers from chronic pain in the country. This totals almost 60 million people, which has required more and more qualification from doctors and health professionals
