Summary: The pedagogical program will be divided into 11 weeks. Each week will have an online (live) meeting lasting 1h and 30 minutes. The meetings will be of two types and will alternate during the weeks:
We will begin the course with an introductory session lasting 2 hours. The introductory class will consist of basic topics to begin the segmentation process and a moment to clarify the routine, schedule and group division.
After the inaugural class, a tomography scan in an anonymized DICOM file will be made available, which will be used by all students during the course in general activities. Each week, students will receive individual tasks that will be guided by written instructions and a video tutorial showing the main steps and tips for completing the exercises and the stages of the 3D reconstruction process.
Students will be divided into groups with one tutor each. The groups will meet weekly (in the weeks between general meetings). The group meetings aim to finalize a project consisting of surgical planning for a complex clinical case (provided by the organization) that will be presented and evaluated at the end of the course in a face-to-face meeting. During these meetings, students will be able to carry out the stages of the segmentation process with their tutors and discuss anatomical variations and technical difficulties during surgery.
At the end of each general meeting, one of the groups will present the progress of their project in addition to demonstrating the general activity of the week.
