Specialization in Psychopathology and Clinical Practice in Psychiatric Institutions
The Psychopathology and Clinical Practice in Psychiatric Institutions program aims to train professionals of excellence for interdisciplinary work in psychiatric hospitals. It combines a highly qualified faculty, unique practical experience, and a diploma from the University of São Paulo's Hospital das Clínicas.
This specialization provides students with a critical understanding of the similarities and differences between diagnostic and therapeutic practices across psychological and psychiatric traditions, as they relate to mental health care policies. It also addresses the deepening of theoretical concepts of psychopathology and clinical experience in differential assessment and psychotherapeutic intervention, in outpatient and ward care, across individual, group, and family settings.
The internship offers 468 hours of excellent content, including 200 hours of hands-on experience supervised by leading experts from the Institute of Psychiatry (IPq HCFMUSP). During the internship, professionals will also experience individual and group care for adult, adolescent, and child psychiatric patients.
This is a Psychopathology program focused on clinical practice and is supported by HCFMUSP, the largest hospital complex in Latin America. It's the perfect choice for psychologists who want to make a difference in mental health in Brazil.
