Multidisciplinary Assistance in Long-Term Care

The Multidisciplinary Care in Long-Term Care course offers a comprehensive, integrated, practical and up-to-date view of knowledge in this field, with an emphasis on working within the Unified Health System (SUS). It brings together highly qualified professors, differentiated practical experience and a certificate from the Hospital das Clínicas da USP. The content covered includes the most relevant clinical conditions, such as neurodegenerative diseases, multiple traumas, encephalopathies, neoplasms, the work of the multidisciplinary team, technological aspects and ethical issues. Visits to the wards will also be made for practical presentations on topics relevant to long-term care, in addition to providing an opportunity to exchange experiences with professionals from the Hospital. At the end of the course, health professionals will have extensive knowledge of long-term care, with notions of organization and care performance of the multidisciplinary team, as well as procedures in the health care network.
