Improvement in PET-CT and Computed Tomography with Emphasis on Oncology

The course aims to teach examination techniques and technological trends in Nuclear Medicine and Computed Tomography applications. It provides knowledge of Simulation techniques and diagnostic examinations. It also proposes an understanding of image formation mechanisms and quality control tests.

The course will cover the knowledge of the imaging methods acquired by PET-CT and Computed Tomography, identify and interpret the images of the different sequences applied to the acquisition modality. Differentiation by tone of the different gray scales contained in medical imaging. Aiming at image quality and patient safety, with an emphasis on protocols aimed at all anatomical segments, especially oncology.
