The Nutrology II course aims to provide doctors with updated knowledge on supportive care and hospital/outpatient nutritional assessment in the treatment of patients suffering from intestinal failure.
The specialization covers all aspects of nutrology in order to train a professional of excellence capable of carrying out intestinal adaptation efficiently using medical nutrology techniques, such as supplementation, elucidating the main biochemical, physiological and hormonal imbalances, etc.
Since this is a medical specialty that is not yet included in the undergraduate medical school curriculum, there is a shortage of professionals who are specialized or have knowledge in the area. However, the duties of the multidisciplinary Nutritional Therapy team were created by ANVISA ordinance 272/1998. This is the team responsible for providing support and nutritional assessment in hospitals and outpatient clinics.
At the end of the course, you will be qualified to work with excellence in the field of Nutrology.
