Specialization in Nutrition in Gerontology
Enrollment period
About Course
The specialization in Nutrition in Gerontology qualifies professionals to work with elderly patients with clinical and nutritional changes related to the aging process. The course makes effective the principles of interdisciplinarity that study, prevent and treat eating disorders with a focus on health and quality of life.
According to estimates by the World Health Organization (WHO), in just over 30 years, one in every three Brazilians will be over 60 years old. These projections make it even more essential to train nutritionists specialized in gerontology, capable of meeting the new bio-socio-economic and cultural paradigms of aging.
During the course, you attend theoretical classes taught by highly qualified professors from the HCFMUSP complex and carry out supervised practice in Inpatient Units.
