Nursing in Intensive and Emergency Care for Newborns, Children and Adolescents

The Nursing specialization in Intensive and Emergency Care for Newborn, Child, and Adolescent qualifies professionals for highly complex care in neonatal and pediatric intensive care units, in addition to specialized wards. The course brings together a highly qualified faculty, unique practical experience and a diploma from the Hospital das Clínicas da USP, the largest hospital complex

in Latin America.

Upon completing the postgraduate course, the professional will be able to provide humanized care in emergency situations to children and adolescents in critical situations, in addition to offering support and care to families. The nurse will also learn about the structure of the tertiary level institution and the main clinical and surgical diseases of

high-risk newborns.

There are more than 480 hours of content, with theoretical classes taught by leading specialists in the field and supervised practice in inpatient units of the renowned Institute for Children and Adolescents (iCR HCFMUSP).
