Nursing Specialization in Pediatric Oncology and Hematology
The Specialization in Nursing in Pediatric Oncology and Hematology course aims to qualify professionals to care for children and adolescents with oncological diseases, as well as to offer care to families.
During the course, professionals learn to identify the biological, psychosocial, and humanistic aspects of cancer. This is the only specialization course focused on qualifying nurses to work in both oncology and pediatric hematology.
The program offers over 456 hours of content, including theoretical activities and unique practical experience at the Child and Adolescent Institute (ICr HCFMUSP). During the practical internship, students have the opportunity to apply theory to real-life situations, improving the quality of care provided. They also develop cognitive, technical, conceptual, communication, attitudinal, and ethical skills.
By having the opportunity to interact with the patient's family, students broaden their experience, contributing to even more holistic care. All courses and classes are led by highly qualified instructors from Latin America's largest hospital.
