The course seeks to offer physical educators and other health professionals solid knowledge in exercise physiology, pathophysiology and treatments of chronic degenerative diseases, with an emphasis on the role of physical exercise in prevention and therapy.
Throughout the journey, you will learn to perform activities related to the work of a physical education professional in a hospital context, as defined by the Federal Council of Physical Education.
In addition to the theoretical classes held on weekends, the course offers the opportunity to follow the outpatient care and research routines in the different Physical Conditioning Laboratories and Rehabilitation Units located in the Institutes of the HC Complex, as well as participate in activities aimed at developing recommendations for the work of Physical Education professionals in the care of chronic non-communicable conditions.
