Update Course in Dental Care in Intensive Care Units
The course qualifies dentists for dental care in ICUs based on scientific evidence, with updated literature on the subject and presentation of Pops and institutional protocols.
During practical immersion, students gain clinical experience by performing bedside procedures, interacting with the multidisciplinary team, evaluating patients, implementing oral care protocols and dental procedures, making and installing mouth guards, and applying drying measures for drooling.
The course is taught by dentists who work daily in the Intensive Care Unit at HCFMUSP, the largest hospital complex in Latin America. The faculty is highly qualified, including master's, doctoral, and specialist-qualified professionals in Hospital Dentistry.
