Elderly Caregiver | Class - 2nd Semester of 2026
The Elderly Caregiver course aims to train professionals capable of caring for elderly people who need special attention, as well as prioritizing the quality of life, well-being, and value of the elderly within the family, showing that it is possible to age actively and healthily.
Among the main activities are basic nursing concepts, such as medication administration, patient room care, and personal hygiene. In addition, the course will cover legal aspects of the statute and rights of the elderly, human relations and ethics, the foundations of care, and first aid in practical workshops.
In addition to theoretical knowledge, students have the opportunity to experience, in person, supervised visits over 5 days, led by specialists from the Hospital das Clínicas of USP (University of São Paulo).
SchedulesTheory classes are held on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 7 PM to 11 PM.
The supervised visits will take place over 5 days, on Saturdays and Sundays, from 8 am to 12 pm or from 1 pm to 5 pm, at the nursing home affiliated with the school.
RequirementsTo have completed elementary school (formerly known as primary school) and be over 18 years of age.
