About Course
Elder Care | Class - 2nd Semester of 2026
The Elder Care course aims to train professionals capable of handling the care of elderly individuals who require special attention, as well as prioritizing the quality of life, well-being, and appreciation of the elderly within the family, demonstrating that it is possible to age in an active and healthy manner.
Among the main activities are nursing concepts, such as care for medication administration, patient room, and personal hygiene. In addition, the course will cover legal aspects of the statute and rights of the elderly, human relations and ethics, bases for care, and first aid in practical workshops.
In addition to theoretical knowledge, students have the opportunity to experience, in person, supervised visits for 5 days, led by specialists from the Hospital das Clínicas da USP.
SchedulesTheory on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 7 PM to 11 PM.
Supervised visits will be conducted over 5 days, on Saturdays and Sundays, from 8 AM to 12 PM or from 1 PM to 5 PM, at the Elderly Home affiliated with the school.
RequirementsHave completed Elementary School (old 1st Grade) and be over 18 years old.
