Applied Cytogenomics

The Applied Cytogenomics course addresses the applications and capabilities of cytogenomic tests, allowing students to have practical experience of the laboratory bench routine, and to carry out practical exercises in the analysis and classification of variants, including the preparation of reports.

This edition of the course has a new program, updated to help different health professionals deal with genomic data, whether in routine diagnostics, in clinical care of patients, in counseling or in the development of scientific research.

The program presents the necessary steps to get closer to data science, essential for all health professionals and specialists in the field of medicine.

There are two intensive days, with theoretical and practical classes, covering genomic arrays and short and long read sequencing (2nd and 3rd generation), in addition to the clinical interpretation of the results obtained with these techniques.
