Training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy

Training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) provides healthcare professionals with theoretical knowledge and practical experience on one of the main aspects of behavioral therapies.

During the journey, you have the opportunity to learn in depth about this cognitive-behavioral approach, its theory, foundations and concepts.

Course consisting of:

• Philosophical bases – Functional Contextualism
• Theoretical bases – Behavior analysis, verbal and symbolic behavior and Relational Frame Theory (RFT)
• ACT therapeutic processes – psychological flexibility, psychological flexibility hexagon, matrix, metaphor building, RFT-based interventions
• Training in ACT exercises, metaphors and experiences – practical and experiential training in the techniques of Creative Hopelessness, Mindfulness, Acceptance, Defusion, Self as Context, Values and Actions with Commitment
• Supervision of cases attended by students

Remote course:

• Biweekly meetings lasting seven hours (9 meetings), plus three hours of supervision (8 supervisions).
