The Occupational Therapy course: Functional Cognitive Rehabilitation in Mental Health in Childhood and Adolescence aims to equip the student to work directly with patients in childhood and adolescence who present neuropsychiatric disorders with the aim of evaluating and intervening in cognition, functional impairments and the repercussions of these changes in the individual's daily life.
Currently, among Occupational Therapy studies, Cognitive Neuroscience stands out as a theoretical and practical reference in the treatment of cognitive and functional deficits present in individuals with neuropsychiatric disorders. Such studies also suggest the use of clinical approaches based on theories of cognition guided by the ICF (International Classification of Functioning).
