Improvement in Radiotherapy and Computed Tomography with an emphasis on Oncology
The Improvement course in Radiotherapy and Computed Tomography with an Emphasis on Oncology aims to develop the necessary skills for the systematic and optimized handling of radiation therapy equipment, such as Linear Accelerators, Brachytherapy, and Simulation Tomographs. It brings together a qualified faculty, more than 120 hours of practice, and the excellence of the São Paulo State Cancer Institute (ICESP
).In addition to theoretical knowledge, students will have the opportunity to study in a state-of-the-art technological park, consisting of modern equipment, including CT scanners with a capacity of 16 to 256 channels, experiencing an exam routine with highly complex protocols, such as radiosurgery, IGRT and IMRT, comprehensively preparing them to work both in general tomography and oncological tomography.
At the end of the course, students will be able to perform treatments in Radiotherapy and Computed Tomography with an Emphasis on Oncology, including the identification of the main protocols in Teletherapy, Brachytherapy and emphasis on the rational use of ionizing radiation and radiological contrast media in computed tomography.
