Improvement in Radiotherapy and Computed Tomography with emphasis on Oncology
The Advanced Training in Radiotherapy and Computed Tomography with an Emphasis on Oncology course aims to develop the skills necessary for the systematic and optimized use of radiotherapy equipment, such as linear accelerators, brachytherapy, and simulation CT scanners. It combines a qualified faculty, over 120 hours of practical experience, and the excellence of the São Paulo State Cancer Institute (ICESP).
In addition to theoretical knowledge, students will have the opportunity to study in a state-of-the-art technology park, equipped with modern equipment, including CT scanners with a capacity of 16 to 256 channels, experiencing a routine of exams with highly complex protocols, such as radiosurgery, IGRT and IMRT, comprehensively preparing them to work in both general tomography and oncological tomography.
At the end of the course, students will be qualified to perform treatments in Radiotherapy and Computed Tomography with an Emphasis on Oncology, including the identification of the main protocols in Teletherapy, Brachytherapy and emphasis on the rational use of ionizing radiation and radiological contrast media in computed tomography.
