Advanced Training Program in Complex Wounds of Plastic Surgery
The Advanced Training Program in Complex Wounds of Plastic Surgery – HCFMUSP is an in‑person training aimed at physicians and nurses who wish to deepen their knowledge in the management of complex wounds at one of the largest university hospitals in Latin America.
With a duration of three months and a workload of 40 in‑person hours, the program provides a longitudinal learning experience, allowing participants to follow different stages of care provided by the Wound Group of the Plastic Surgery Discipline at HCFMUSP.
Activities include observational accompaniment in the operating room, specialized wound outpatient clinics, a burn unit, multidisciplinary visits, a stoma therapy clinic, discussion of clinical cases, critical analysis of scientific literature, and a hands‑on workshop on Negative Pressure Wound Therapy (NPWT).
With a limited number of participants, the program emphasizes direct interaction with the multiprofessional team of the Plastic Surgery Discipline, providing a differentiated training based on scientific evidence, clinical experience, and a multidisciplinary approach.
At the end of the program, participants will receive a certificate issued by the Plastic Surgery Discipline of HCFMUSP.
