About Course

The course qualifies dentists for dental care in ICUs based on scientific evidence, with updated literature on the subject and presentation of Pops and institutional protocols.

In practical immersion, the student acquires clinical experience by performing bedside procedures, interacting with the multidisciplinary team, evaluating patients, executing oral care protocols and dental procedures, making and installing mouth guards and drying measures for drooling.

The course is taught by dentists who work daily in the Intensive Care Unit at HCFMUSP, the largest hospital complex in Latin America. The teaching staff is highly qualified, with masters, doctors and specialists qualified in Hospital Dentistry.
