Chronic Urticaria

The course brings the main concepts related to chronic urticaria, a common condition characterized by the appearance of angioderms and hives (or both). It is more than 25 hours of training, guided by great specialists from the Hospital das Clínicas da USP.

Hives are edematous papules, lasting between 30 minutes to 24 hours, and extremely pruritic. Angioedema is the sudden edema of the deep dermis or subcutaneous and has a slower resolution, up to 72 hours. The hive is produced by the release of mediators from mast cells located around the vessels of the dermis, the main mediator being histamine. In the pathogenesis, immunological and non-immunological factors are involved.

>During the journey, you acquire notions of immunology of urticaria, autoimmune processes, pathologies, classification and epidemiology. You will also follow an approach related to spontaneous chronic urticaria, as well as its laboratory findings, clinical aspects, therapeutic actions and the impact generated for the individual.
