Training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) Training provides health professionals with theoretical knowledge and practical experience about one of the main aspects of behavioral therapies.

During the journey, you have the opportunity to learn in depth this approach, its theory, fundamentals, and practice.

There are more than 104 hours of theoretical and practical content, conducted by renowned professionals from the Hospital das Clínicas da USP. A unique opportunity to learn with those who are references in mental health in Brazil and abroad

Course consisting of:

• Philosophical Bases — Functional Contextualism
• Theoretical Bases — Behavior Analysis, Verbal and Symbolic Behavior, and Relational Frame Theory (RFT)
• ACT therapeutic processes — psychological flexibility, psychological flexibility hexagon, matrix, metaphor construction, interventions based on RFT
• ACT exercises, metaphors, and experiences training — practical and experiential training of the techniques of Creative Hopelessness, Mindfulness, Acceptance, Disfusion, Self as Context, Values, and Committed Actions
• Supervision of cases attended by students

Remote course:

• Fortnightly seven-hour meetings (9 meetings), plus three hours of supervision (8 supervisors).
