Specialization in Inflammatory Bowel Diseases
The specialization in Inflammatory Bowel Diseases aims to train gastroenterologists and coloproctologists for the diagnosis, treatment, and management of complications associated with inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD). The course brings together a highly qualified faculty, unique practical experience in the market, and a diploma from the Hospital das Clínicas da USP (HCFMUSP).
IBDs affect more than 5 million people worldwide, according to estimates by the Brazilian Society of Coloproctology (SBCP). In Brazil alone, IBD cases increased by an average of 15% between 2012 and 2020. The scenario shows the importance of qualifying medical specialists in the subject in the country.
The course has more than 1326 hours of excellent content, taught by great professionals from HC. The student also has the opportunity to learn in practice in the specialized outpatient clinics for IBD in Gastroenterology and Coloproctology at the Hospital.
