Specialization in Diagnosis and Clinical Management of Mood Disorders

The course qualifies doctors with theoretical and practical knowledge for the identification, diagnosis, and management of patients with mood disorders. The program brings together a highly qualified faculty, differentiated practical experience, and a diploma from the Hospital das Clínicas da USP.

The specialization meets a growing demand in the market. Brazil is the country with the highest prevalence of depression in Latin America, and more than 8 million people suffer from Bipolar Disorder in the country. These numbers further reinforce the importance of having increasingly qualified health professionals.

The course covers the entire process of patient approach, from primary and secondary diagnoses, through therapeutic planning and various forms of treatment.

There are 450 hours of quality teaching, with classes taught by professionals with extensive experience in the field, and practical activities at the Institute of Psychiatry of HCFMUSP.
