Multidisciplinary Specialization in Mental Health and Psychiatry

The Multiprofessional Specialization in Mental Health and Psychiatry aims to enhance knowledge to better serve the psychosocial care network, while enabling participants to develop technical competencies, specific skills, legislation, and professional ethical conduct. Furthermore, it introduces students to the resources available at the different levels of care: primary, secondary, and tertiary.

Upon completing a postgraduate degree in Psychiatry, the professional will be able to perform all psychiatric reasoning, understand diagnoses and management, from common to the most complex cases.

Differential

• The course will be taught by recognized professionals with technical expertise working in the field, providing up-to-date and innovative content in the field of Mental Health. The course will encourage the pursuit of knowledge through participatory classes based on active learning methodologies: problem-based learning (PBL), team-based learning (TBL), peer learning (Peer Instruction), flipped classroom, case studies, storytelling, movie trips, and learning station rotations.
• The course is supported by professionals from the University of São Paulo's Hospital das Clínicas who will teach all students how to develop a critical sense for working in the field of Mental Health and Psychiatry.
