About Course
The Robotic Surgery Certification process is a stage of the course promoted by the Laboratory for Teaching, Research and Innovation in Surgery of the Central Institute of Hospital das Clínicas (LEPIC) in compliance with the regulations of the Federal Council of Medicine (CFM), resolution 2,311, considering robotics as a new medical procedure in Brazil, using a minimally invasive, open or combined route, classified as highly complex.
After completing mandatory online training, the student will perform 20 hours of parallel robotic simulator and will also observe surgeries performed at the São Paulo State Cancer Institute (ICESP) and the ICHC FMUSP Central Institute.
At the end of the course, the surgeon will receive a certificate in robotic surgery from LEPIC, recognized by the Brazilian College of Digestive Surgery (CBCD).
