International Medical Observation Program

The International Medical Observation Program is dedicated to professionals with a degree in Medicine outside of Brazil, with or without experience in the area of practice, and who are interested in supervised monitoring in some medical specialties at the Hospital das Clínicas of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of São Paulo (HCFMUSP).

In this program, the doctor participates in regular scientific meetings of the chosen discipline, monitors outpatient care and observes activities in the surgical center – depending on the specialty – always under the supervision of the HCFMUSP clinical staff.

The objective is to immerse oneself in the care routine at Hospital das Clínicas in São Paulo, offer a comprehensive view of medical practice in a real clinical environment, develop critical skills and contribute to the professional growth of participants.

The International Medical Observation Program lasts a minimum of one month and has a variable workload, depending on the structure of the department of the desired specialty. About HCFMUSP

The Hospital das Clínicas of the USP School of Medicine is the largest hospital complex in Latin America, with 600 thousand square meters, located in the heart of the city of São Paulo. It currently has more than 2,500 beds divided between hospital and outpatient institutes, in addition to 105 surgical rooms and 66 medical research laboratories.
