Catheterization contributes to the recovery of hospitalized patients, whether to provide medication, nutritional support or help eliminate waste products. The procedure requires specialized care, given its risk. Intravenous therapy is part of the daily nursing routine in the treatment of health problems, and is defined as a set of knowledge and techniques aimed at administering solutions and drugs to the circulatory system and caring for devices.
Skin injuries represent a major challenge for healthcare professionals, as pressure injuries (PIs) have become more frequent in clinical practice due to increased treatment costs, prolonged hospital stays, discomfort and a negative impact on the quality of care provided and patients' quality of life. In this course, we will discuss best care practices for preventing pressure injuries, maintaining skin integrity and treating them.
