Maintaining balance and body orientation during upright posture is essential for carrying out daily activities, physical and work activities.

Body imbalance can be easily measured by body sway using POSTUROGRAPHY.

Posturography is considered the gold standard when studying a person's upright posture. The posturographic variable used in the assessment of static and dynamic postural control is the center of pressure (COP), which is measured by force platforms.

Currently, laboratory force platforms used in posturographic analyses are expensive, require a large physical space and qualified labor.

Video game force platforms (VGPs) have the same accuracy as laboratory platforms and have shown reliable and safe results, being highlighted in the literature as a promising equipment, as it is a rich tool for obtaining data with a communication interface to the computer via Bluetooth, in addition to being low cost, portable and validated for different analyses.

PVG allows professionals to perform complementary diagnostics of postural stability, as well as quantify the effectiveness of therapeutic interventions in the elderly, postural changes (with or without pain), Cerebrovascular Accident (CVA), Spinal Cord Injuries, Vestibular Impairment, among others.

Therefore, PVG can be a great resource for offices, clinics, rehabilitation centers and scientific research.
