The Specialization in Pelvic Physiotherapy aims at the conservative treatment of various pelvic dysfunctions, with an effective approach to symptoms such as: urinary and fecal incontinence, constipation, nocturnal enuresis, pelvic pain, and sexual dysfunction. Furthermore, the course will provide a positive impact on the quality of life and functionality of women, men, children, and the LGBTQIAPN+ community affected by urinary, gynecological, sexual, and gastrointestinal dysfunctions.
Pelvic health is a recent area of practice in physiotherapy, with an increasingly broad scope of work. The physiotherapist plays an active role within a transdisciplinary team, whether in outpatient settings, offices, clinics, or inpatient units, and attends to different levels of healthcare and their respective complexities.
The postgraduate course in Pelvic Physiotherapy includes practical experience with patients from HCFMUSP (Hospital das Clínicas da Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade de São Paulo). All this with a functional and individualized approach so that the physiotherapist can address the various pelvic dysfunctions that can interfere with individuals' quality of life.
The Specialization in Physiotherapy in Pelvic Health is part of the training core of the Specialization in Pelvic and Obstetric Health.
If you are interested in including this training as a second option in the selection process, please consult the information for the Specialization in Pelvic and Obstetric Health or the candidate's manual and select this course in the "2nd option" field during registration.
