The course was developed to train non-ophthalmologists in the identification, initial management and referral of the main eye disorders found in clinical practice.
With a clear language applied to the reality of the non-specialist, the course covers everything from the physiology of the visual system to the management of acute conditions, common conditions and serious signs that require immediate referral.
The proposal is to offer a practical and integrated view between specialties, strengthening the role of the general practitioner in the screening, prevention, and initial management of the most prevalent eye diseases.
