About Course

The advanced course in Nutrition equips physicians to diagnose and treat malnutrition and obesity and offer individualized nutritional support. It brings together a renowned faculty, unique practical experience, and a diploma that makes all the difference in the market.

Nutrology is a specialty not yet included in the undergraduate medical curriculum. Because of this, there is a shortage of professionals specialized in or knowledgeable in the area. Following ANVISA Ordinance 272/98, which created the EMTN – Multiprofessional Nutritional Therapy Team, physicians became part of the care team providing nutritional support and assessment.

There are over 2,880 hours of courses, with classes at the Central Institute of the Hospital das Clínicas of USP and supervised practice by leading experts in the field.
