Specialization in Nutrition in Gerontology
The specialization in Gerontology Nutrition qualifies professionals to work with elderly patients with clinical and nutritional changes related to the aging process. The course implements the principles of interdisciplinarity that study, prevent, and treat eating disorders with a focus on health and quality of life.
According to estimates from the World Health Organization (WHO), in just over 30 years, one in three Brazilians will be over 60. These projections make the training of nutritionists specializing in gerontology even more essential, capable of meeting the new bio-socioeconomic and cultural paradigms of aging.
During the course, you attend theoretical classes taught by highly qualified professors from the HCFMUSP complex and carry out supervised practice in Inpatient Units.
