USG in Musculoskeletal System
The course aims to disseminate knowledge about the use of musculoskeletal ultrasonography, focusing on improving the quality of care and increasing patient safety.
The training meets a market demand, driven by technological advances and the inclusion of ultrasonography in current and important concepts of precise medicine. The tool also has various applications in orthopedic medicine.
Increasingly, medicine tends to be less invasive and image-guided procedures acquire fundamental importance today to avoid iatrogenic effects. Joint infiltrations, procedures such as radiofrequency, barbotage, diagnostic and therapeutic joint punctures are examples of procedures that can be guided by ultrasonography.
The need to ensure adequate training for doctors culminated in the creation of this course by Dr. Felipe Carneiro, from the Department of Radiology and Oncology at HCFMUSP.
