Training in Mental Health First Aid
Based on scientific evidence and grounded in international practices, the mental health first aid guidelines aim to teach the general population how to recognize and offer support to people with mental health problems.
By becoming a mental health first responder, the participant will be able to identify signs and symptoms of possible diagnoses and offer emotional support during times of crisis.
Important noteParticipation in this training does not authorize the professional to make diagnoses, interpret exams, or issue medical reports and opinions. The objective of this multidisciplinary training is to offer informational support to assist specialized help in decision-making. The skills provided during the course do not replace or interfere with the exclusive responsibilities of a physician.
Upon completion of the course, participants will receive a certificate of training in Mental Health First Aid guidelines for emergency situations.
