Critical Maneuvers in Trauma - Abdomen

• 100% Hands-On – The course is entirely practical, with an exclusive focus on the student directly performing the maneuvers.
• Ex Vivo Models (fresh cadaver) – The main surgical approaches are performed on fresh cadavers, faithfully preserving the anatomy, dissection planes and texture of human tissues.
• Swine Model with General Anesthesia – In the afternoon, students face the challenge of performing critical maneuvers on live models, simulating real-time trauma situations, hemodynamic instability, and the need for quick decisions.
• Realistic scenarios based on CRM (Crisis Resource Management) – In addition to technical skills, the course emphasizes crisis management, teamwork, decision-making under pressure, and the efficient use of available resources in an emergency environment.
• Excellent infrastructure – The course is held at the Human Anatomy and Topography Laboratory of the University of São Paulo School of Medicine (FMUSP), with high-fidelity practical stations and close monitoring by experienced surgeons from the HCFMUSP Trauma Center.
