Currently, among Occupational Therapy studies, Cognitive Neuroscience stands out as a theoretical and practical reference in the treatment of cognitive and functional deficits present in individuals with neuropsychiatric disorders. Such studies also suggest the use of clinical approaches based on theories of Cognition guided by the ICF (International Classification of Functioning - WHO).
In this sense, the purpose of this course is to equip students to work directly with elderly patients who have neuropsychiatric disorders with the aim of evaluating and intervening in cognition, functional impairments and the impact of these changes on the individual's daily life.
