Advanced Sports Physiotherapy Specialization Course

The Advanced Sports Physiotherapy Specialization Course was developed for physiotherapists who wish to deepen their clinical practice in sports, focusing on clinical-functional reasoning.

Designed exclusively for professionals already specialized by the Physiotherapy Division of the Hospital das Clínicas of FMUSP, the course integrates knowledge of biomechanics, exercise physiology, physical training, and clinical reasoning applied to athletes.

Throughout the course, students will learn to perform advanced functional assessments, interpret clinical and functional tests, develop rehabilitation programs, and monitor the return-to-sport process.

Activities include theoretical classes, discussion of clinical cases, supervised practice, and experiences in a sports environment.

Upon completing the course, the professional will be qualified to work with greater safety, precision, and scientific basis when assisting athletes and those who engage in physical activity.
