Immersion in High Risk Pregnancy

The High-Risk Pregnancy immersion program aims to update the knowledge of obstetrician-gynecologists about high-risk pregnancies. Held over a week, the program provides practical learning, with a workload of more than 40 hours, under the supervision of leading specialists from the Hospital das Clínicas da USP.

In Brazil, according to official data, around 10% of pregnancies are considered high-risk. This means that for every 100 pregnant women, 10 have some risk factor that can result in complications for the mother or baby. These numbers raise awareness about the importance of qualified doctors who can provide assistance and care for patients with this condition.

The immersion program allows the doctor to closely monitor the routine of high-risk pregnancy specialists at the largest hospital complex in America.
