The II Workshop: Perioperative use of medicinal gases aims to provide an exchange of experiences among professionals in the field.
Therapeutic gases are used to ventilate, oxygenate, anesthetize and treat acute respiratory infections in patients. These medical gases are used in the emergency department, surgical center, anesthesia recovery room, intensive care unit, as well as in the wards, and are available throughout the hospital in cylinders or through its distribution network.
The purity and efficiency of gases, as well as risk management in their handling, have been the subject of constant regulation, aiming for full quality in patient care. Through theoretical classes and practical activities, there will be demonstration and discussion on the safe use of medical gases and their contribution to the quality of perioperative care.
