Gynecology - Ultrasound of the Normal Female Pelvis and Physiological Variations
The course provides the knowledge necessary to master the techniques of abdominal pelvic and transvaginal ultrasound. The goal is to provide greater accuracy and agility in identifying pathologies and abnormalities.
In gynecological emergencies, decisions must be made quickly, safely, and accurately, due to the risk of worsening the patient's health and death. Identifying blood collections and abscesses is crucial. For example, cyst rupture and pelvic inflammatory disease, ovarian and adnexal torsion, pedunculated myoma, traumatic uterine perforation, placental myoma, and uterine inversion can also be diagnosed. Guidance for punctures of cysts, collections, and drainage of abscesses in the cul-de-sac of Douglas can be easily performed using transvaginal ultrasound.
The course is backed by over 40 years of experience with obstetric and gynecological ultrasound at the University of São Paulo's Hospital das Clínicas complex. The program was conceived by Professor Ayrton Roberto Pastore, PhD, of the Radiology and Oncology Department at HCFMUSP, and brings together leading specialists from the largest hospital complex in the Americas.
