The Specialization in Psychiatry prepares students to deal with any highly complex situation in psychiatric clinics. It is an innovative course, with highly qualified faculty, differentiated practical experience and a diploma from the Hospital das Clínicas da USP, the largest in Latin America.
There are over 450 hours of theory and practice, taught by USP professors who are references in their fields. The content covers everything from the most basic concepts to general psychiatry. It includes classes on major topics, such as: Personality Disorders, Eating Disorders, Childhood and Adolescent Disorders, Psychotic and Depressive Disorders, Drug Dependence and Anxiety Disorders, Epilepsy and Dementia.
Upon completing the postgraduate course in Psychiatry, the professional will be able to carry out all psychiatric reasoning, understand diagnoses and management, from common to the most complex cases.
