About Course

The specialization in Inflammatory Bowel Diseases aims to train gastroenterologists and coloproctologists to diagnose, treat and manage complications associated with inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD). The course brings together a highly qualified faculty, unique practical experience in the market and a diploma from the Hospital das Clínicas da USP (HCFMUSP).

IBD affects more than 5 million people worldwide, according to estimates from the Brazilian Society of Coloproctology (SBCP). In Brazil alone, IBD cases grew by an average of 15% between 2012 and 2020. This scenario shows the importance of training specialist doctors in the country.

The course has over 1,326 hours of excellent content, taught by leading professionals from HC. Students also have the opportunity to learn in practice at the hospital's specialized IBD outpatient clinics in Gastroenterology and Coloproctology.
