The course equips physicians with theoretical and practical knowledge to identify, diagnose, and manage patients with mood disorders. The training combines highly qualified faculty, unique practical experience, and a diploma from the University of São Paulo's Hospital das Clínicas.

This specialization meets a growing market demand. Brazil has the highest prevalence of depression in Latin America, and more than 8 million people suffer from Bipolar Disorder. These figures further reinforce the importance of having increasingly qualified healthcare professionals.

The course covers the entire patient approach process, from primary and secondary diagnoses, through therapeutic planning and the various forms of treatment.

There are more than 512 hours of quality teaching, with classes taught by professionals with extensive experience in the field, and practical activities at the HCFMUSP Institute of Psychiatry.
