About Course

The course qualifies doctors with theoretical and practical knowledge to identify, diagnose and manage patients with mood disorders. The training brings together a highly qualified teaching staff, differentiated practical experience and a diploma from the Hospital das Clínicas da USP.

This specialization meets a growing demand in the market. Brazil is the country with the highest prevalence of depression in Latin America and more than 8 million people suffer from Bipolar Disorder in the country. These numbers further reinforce the importance of having increasingly qualified health professionals.

The course covers the entire process of approaching the patient, from the main and secondary diagnoses, through therapeutic planning and the different forms of treatment.

There are more than 512 hours of quality teaching, with classes taught by professionals with extensive experience in the field, and practical activities at the HCFMUSP Psychiatry Institute.
