Specialization in Physiotherapy in Pelvic and Obstetric Health
The Specialization in Pelvic and Obstetric Physiotherapy qualifies professionals to monitor and treat various pelvic dysfunctions that can interfere with individuals' quality of life. The course meets a market demand for professionals trained in Pelvic and Obstetric Physiotherapy.
In pelvic health, physiotherapy has a broad scope of practice, supporting individuals regardless of gender and age. It provides assistance during pregnancy, postpartum, and in all dysfunctions resulting from alterations in the urinary, gynecological, and gastrointestinal systems. Because it is a relatively new specialty, the job market currently lacks professionals trained to provide comprehensive care for children, men, women, and the LGBTQIAPN+ community.
The postgraduate program in Pelvic and Obstetric Physiotherapy includes supervised practical experience at HCFMUSP (Hospital das Clínicas da Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade de São Paulo) and theoretical classes. All with a functional and individualized approach to rehabilitation at different levels of healthcare.
The Specialization in Physiotherapy in Pelvic and Obstetric Health is part of the training axis of the Specialization in Pelvic Health.
If you are interested in including this training as a second option in the selection process, please consult the information for the Pelvic Health Specialization or the candidate handbook and select this course in the "2nd option" field during registration.
