Specialization in Pelvic Health Physiotherapy
The Specialization in Pelvic Physiotherapy aims at conservative treatment of various pelvic disorders, with an effective approach to symptoms such as: urinary and fecal incontinence, constipation, nocturnal enuresis, pelvic pain and sexual dysfunction. In addition, the course will have a positive impact on the quality of life and functionality of women, men, children and the LGBTQIAPN+ community affected by urinary, gynecological, sexual and gastrointestinal disorders.
Pelvic health is a recent area of activity in physical therapy, with an increasingly comprehensive field of work. The physiotherapist plays an active role with the transdisciplinary team, whether in an outpatient setting, offices, clinics or inpatient units, and addresses the different levels of health care and their respective complexities
