The seminar “Cracolândia in question: possible approaches and public policies” seeks to promote a space for dialogue and learning about the inclusion of the drug issue in the public health network. From the perspective of specialists and mediated by a psychiatrist with more than ten years of experience in the region known as “Cracolândia”, various aspects related to the topic will be addressed
.There are about 12 hours of excellent content, with subjects such as: intersectionality, drug use as a health issue and its inclusion in the Unified Health System (SUS) and the Psychosocial Care Network (RAPS), prohibitionism and harm reduction, and therapeutic communities and alternatives that value the subject's autonomy.
In addition to theoretical knowledge, students also acquire a differentiated face-to-face experience at the Psychiatry Institute of the Hospital das Clínicas da USP.
At the end of the course, the professional will have knowledge about raising awareness and improving public policies aimed at the issue of alcohol and drug use, with an emphasis on experiences and lessons learned about the Cracolândia region.
