The Geriatric Cardiovascular program equips physicians with knowledge of the aging characteristics of the cardiovascular system, as well as the most common cardiovascular diseases in the elderly population. This specialization combines highly qualified faculty, unique practical experience, and certification from the largest hospital complex in Latin America.
Aimed at physicians who wish to enhance their skills in Geriatric Cardiovascular Medicine, the course fosters a connection between Geriatrics and Cardiology. It also meets a growing demand, given the growing number of Brazilians over 65 and the need for qualified professionals to provide care to this population.
The program offers nearly 500 hours of excellent instruction, with theoretical classes taught by leading specialists from the University of São Paulo's Hospital das Clínicas (HCFMUSP) and practical activities at leading geriatric centers. At the end of the course, physicians will be better prepared to provide care to elderly patients with heart disease, both in primary and secondary prevention.
