The Cardiogeriatrics course provides physicians with knowledge about the characteristics of the aging cardiovascular system, as well as the most common cardiovascular diseases in the elderly population. The specialization brings together a highly qualified faculty, unique practical experience in the market and a diploma from the largest hospital complex in Latin America.
Aimed at physicians who wish to improve their skills in Cardiogeriatrics, the course fosters the connection between Geriatrics and Cardiology. It also meets a growing demand, given the growth in the number of Brazilians over 65 years of age and the need for qualified professionals to provide care to this population.
There are almost 500 hours of excellent teaching, with theoretical classes taught by leading specialists from the Hospital das Clínicas da USP (HCFMUSP) and practical activities in reference centers in Geriatrics. At the end of the course, the doctor leaves better prepared to provide care to elderly patients with heart disease, both in primary and secondary prevention.
