About Course

The Certification process in Robotic Surgery is a stage of the course promoted by the Teaching, Research and Innovation in Surgery Laboratory of the Central Institute of the Hospital das Clínicas (LEPIC) in compliance with the regulation of the Federal Council of Medicine (CFM), resolution 2,311, considering robotics new medical procedure in Brazil, using a minimally invasive, open or combined route, classified as highly complex.

After completing mandatory online training, the student will perform 20 hours of robotic simulator in parallel and will also observe surgeries carried out at the Cancer Institute of the State of São Paulo (ICESP) and at the ICHC FMUSP Central Institute.

At the end of the course, the surgeon will receive a certificate in robotic surgery from LEPIC, recognized by the CBCD (Brazilian College of Digestive Surgery).
